Delaware County’s intergenerational Make A Difference Delaware County event is open everyone. It is the perfect occasion for individuals, families, and groups of all ages to volunteer together as a team. Just one morning of volunteering truly makes a lasting difference.
On the fourth Saturday in October, the 26th, hundreds of volunteers will gather, beginning at 8:00 am at Camp Lazarus, or at Jessica Forman’s State Farm Insurance office in Sunbury, with a light breakfast and job assignments for the volunteers. Volunteers then go out at 9:00 am to Delaware County older adult’s homes and area non-profits to do outdoor chores or a special project. Volunteers then return to Camp Lazarus around noon to turn in their paperwork, grab a little lunch and talk about how much fun they had and how much it meant to the people they served.
