Master Jazz violinist Christian Howes will be coming “home” to Delaware again in July with his world-class musicians to lead the 17th annual Creative Strings Workshop. The workshop provides an opportunity for string students to learn how to learn and grow their artistry. The members of the faculty lead students in exploring new styles and techniques--going beyond the notes on the page and into the world of improvisation. At the end of the week they will demonstrate what they have accomplished and mastered in a concert. This concert will take place on Friday, July 5th, 2019 at 7 p.m. in the Sanctuary of William Street United Methodist Church at 28 West William St. Delaware.
In addition, this year the incredible faculty members that Chris has assembled will present a concert of their own. These are musicians at the top of their game. This concert will take place at the beginning of the week: on Monday, July 1, 2019 at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary of William Street United Methodist Church at 28 West William St. Delaware.
The music at this faculty recital will range from jazz, world, roots, R&B and more. The “band” will include violins, cello, bass, piano, drums and some vocals.
of these musicians, teachers and students, will be performing at various venues
throughout the central Ohio area during the week.
Both concerts are free and open to the public. All are welcome to come and share their love of music.
